Your brain moves fast – always thinking, connecting, creating. You see possibilities others miss. But while your mind races ahead, daily life doesn’t always keep up. Deadlines slip by. Piles grow. The harder you try, the more overwhelmed you feel. And the less confident you become.

For many adults with ADHD – or autistic adults who also have ADHD (AuDHD) – simple things can take enormous effort. It’s not for lack of motivation or intelligence. It’s because your brain works differently than the world expects. And when you add old patterns or leftover feelings from a difficult childhood, things can feel heavier, shaking your confidence even more.

Maybe you’re dealing with:

  • Focus, time management, and follow-through challenges
  • Impulsiveness or trouble relaxing
  • Disorganization
  • Indecision and procrastination
  • Overwhelm and stress
  • Communication and relationship problems
  • Low self-esteem or imposter syndrome
  • Really big emotions

All of this can leave you doubting yourself even though you’re working harder than anyone sees.

I’m here to help.

I’m Beth Main, a board certified coach (BCC) and professional counselor licensed in Maine and Pennsylvania (LCPC/LPC). I help neurodivergent adults create practical strategies that fit how their brain works.

In coaching or counseling, we focus on solutions that work without changing who you are. We start with self-understanding and self-compassion. Because you’re not broken. At the same time, I get that the obstacles are very real, so we’ll create strategies to move past them. It’s about embracing neurodiversity while making meaningful, tangible progress.

I’ve been where you are. I have ADHD myself, so I know what it’s like to live with a brain that doesn’t always follow the script. That’s one reason I’m so passionate about this work: I truly understand where you’re coming from.

Support that meets you where you are.

Whether your goals are personal, professional, or academic, we’ll work together so you can:

  • Clarify your priorities
  • Create a plan that works with your strengths
  • Build structure and routines you can follow
  • Stay focused and feel better about your progress

You don’t have to “just try harder.” You need the right tools, support, and understanding.

Services are available by secure video, phone, or in person at my office in Phillips, Maine.
